A gem of a university-based conference in some fantastic venues

Since Delegant took over the association management of an organisation established in 1969, a significant focus has been placed on delivering its 2026 Annual Conference. Held over three days at the University of Manchester, the conference was a tremendous success. The programme featured high-quality scientific sessions during the day, complemented by a networking evening on the first day and a conference dinner on the second, providing delegates with valuable opportunities to connect, collaborate and celebrate.

The networking evening was held in Christie’s Bistro, located within the former Science Library of Owens College and widely regarded as one of the University’s most stunning and historic spaces. The Conference Dinner took place at Manchester Museum, beginning with a drinks reception in the Fossils and Dinosaurs Gallery, followed by dinner in the Living Worlds Gallery, providing guests with a truly unique experience surrounded by some of the Museum’s most iconic collections.

The Conference was really well received by delegates, speakers and sponsors. Chair of the association’s conference committee commented “Many thanks for putting everything together. This has been fantastic.”
